Fee: $169 Clinic Pass good for all sessions*
$23 for a single session*
*Must have a Diamond Peak Season Pass or daily lift ticket to participate. Daily lift tickets will be available for purchase at the Loft Bar from 9:00am – 9:45am on each clinic day. Standard ticket prices apply.
Fee Includes: A Continental Breakfast and 2 hour ski lesson. Class size is limited and may sell out. Pre-registration is strongly suggested.

Come In to the Incline Village Recreation Center, 980 Incline Way
Clinics, for intermediate and above skill levels, are designed to improve skills, introduce skiers to new techniques and equipment and encourage skiers to continue skiing later in life. Beginners will be accommodated in Beginner Ski School group lessons at the Active Adult 55+ Ski Clinic Price.

Catch a ride with the 55+ Senior Transportation Program! The suggested roundtrip minimum donation per senior (55+) rider is $3.00 + an additional charge of .50 for subsequent destinations. Special request on-demand transportation is available for same-day roundtrip fee of $25.00 per senior (55+) rider Monday through Saturday. All reservation requests can be made by contacting the Recreation Counter at (775)832-1310 and require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.

IVGID’s first senior program provides social and educational opportunities for seniors 49+. The club meets at the Chateau from 5:30pm-9:00pm on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

IVGID Senior Programs & SNC partner for Award-Winning Lifelong Learning Opportunities!
Lifelong Learning Program at Sierra Nevada College -The SNC (Sierra Nevada College)/IVGID Lifelong Learning Program allows residents over the age of 60 to register (space available) in up to three Fall undergraduate courses at SNC on a non-degree seeking basis. The cost is $35 per credit. Inquire about registration at the Office of Registrar’s located on the second floor of David Hall on the SNC campus, 999 Tahoe Blvd. Bring your photo i.d. Join us for our regular club meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month (this month: January 5th and 19th) from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Aspen Grove, 960 Lakeshore. Please bring recent photos, either digital or prints, to share and discuss with the group, and as always any questions you might have. Discussion led by Jim Markle. Dessert will be available for a suggested donation of $1.00. See you there!
Digital Photography Club Field trip to the Carmel Gallery & Downtown Truckee’s First Friday Event
On Friday, February 3, join IVGID Senior Programs Digital Photography Club and S.T.E.P. Out on a fieldtrip to the Carmel Gallery in Truckee, CA where we will view the wonderful pieces the gallery has on display and listen to a presentation by one of the gallery’s art consultants. Following the gallery we will enjoy free food, drink and music at Truckee’s monthly First Friday event! Meet at the Recreation Center Lobby at 4pm and we will return at approximately 9pm. Pre-registration is required by 5pm on Thursday, February 2nd. Cost is $5.00 for pass-holders and $6.25 for non-pass holders and includes transportation and admission into the gallery. Don’t forget your camera!
Senior Snowshoe Hike Series

Trekkers of all abilities are welcome to join IVGID Senior Programs for a light to moderate social snowshoe through the beautiful Tahoe mountainside- weather and snow permitting! Beginning January 3rd we will meet each Tuesday throughout the winter at the Rec. Center at 10:00am and enjoy a trek through the beautiful Tahoe landscape. Directly following the snowshoeing we will enjoy a social buffet style lunch at Patterson Dining Hall located on the campus of Sierra Nevada College. Bring your daypack, camera, water, snowshoes, poles, goggles/sunglasses and winter apparel. Fee includes snowshoe hike, transportation and lunch. *With or without snow, we will start the hike series as planned on January 3rd. Dress warmly and bring your yak trax just in case we encounter patches of snow or ice!

Community Snowshoe Hike
This award winning event encourages exercising in an intergenerational social setting for ages 9+* and is part of the Community Health and Wellness Outreach Initiative. There will be light fare available for those who would like to purchase dinner at the top. Meet at Diamond Peak’s upper parking lot at 5:00pm. We will return around 9:00pm. Visit our website or call (775) 832-1310 for information. Pre-registration is required. A late registration fee of $5 will apply after noon on the day of the event.

• Looking for an alternative workout? Try Cardio Cycle & Core or Cardio Cycle & Strength! These classes combine non-impact cycling with a core workout or traditional small weight and resistance apparatus strength conditioning: 35 minutes cycling and 25 minutes core or strength conditioning. Wednesday, January 18
6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Radon Awareness. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that gets into homes and is the leading cause of lung cancer among nonsmokers. Learn about the health risks of radon in a presentation by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Radon Education Program. You’ll learn how to detect radon in the home and what to do if elevated levels are found. You’ll also receive a free radon test kit.

Nevada Senior Medicare Patrol-Are you a senior or a caregiver that would like to know more about Medicare and healthcare fraud, errors or abuse, especially how to recognize it and how to report it? Or maybe you want to be able to help your parents, grandparents or other family members not to become a victim? The Nevada SMP – Senior Medicare Patrol is currently looking for volunteers, whose primary function is to educate Nevadans on how not to become a victim of Medicare & healthcare fraud, and how to recognize Medicare & Medicaid fraud, errors, waste or abuse.
