Summer Alpine Youth Basketball Skills Camp
Ages: 8 - 15 years
The Alpine Skills Camp is designed to teach all the skills needed to become a complete basketball player. This camp will help players develop outstanding dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship. This camp is a must for basketball players of all levels. Camp director will be Frank Wright, the author of “The Ultimate Basketball Book”.
Days: Monday – Friday
Dates: July 21 - 25
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Ages 8 - 11
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Ages 12 – 15
Fee: Resident $80 / Non-Resident $100

Girls Youth Softball Spring Leagues
Grades: 2nd - 9th
Mark this one on your calendar so you are sure not to miss it! Registration begins in early April and the league will play late April through mid-June. The league is open to girls of all abilities from the 2nd through 9th grades. Fee includes jersey and team picture. Summer Alpine Baseball Skills Clinic
Ages: 7 – 13 years
This camp will be lead by experts such as Frank Carey, 2nd basemen on Stanford University’s 1987 & 1988 National Championship teams, and drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1989. The camp includes instruction of basic fundamentals such as hitting, pitching, catching, outfield and infield play. Teamwork, sportsmanship and fun will be emphasized. Pickle Ball
All Ages Welcome!
This exciting indoor paddle game is fun for the whole family. Pickle ball is played on a badminton-sized court using wood paddle racquet and a plastic, poly baseball. Pickle ball is a combination of ping-pong, tennis, and badminton.
Day/Time: Wednesday, 9:30-11:30, and Saturday, 10:00am-12:00pm
Fees: Recreation Center Members free / Non-members pay the daily Recreation Center Fee.

WANTED: Volunteer Coaches & Sports Instructors!
We need coaches to serve as head coaches and assistant coaches for the upcoming youth leagues. The department provides training for all coaches and depends on volunteers to provide the leadership and guidance for our youth teams. Please consider registering as a coach by calling Indra Winquest at (775) 832-1322. Fingerprinting will be required. You may request a certain age group and your child will be placed on your team if you wish. If you would like more information on coaching our community’s youth, call us!
