Camp Xtreme - Summer

Ages: 5 – 12 years (must have attended Kindergarten)

Join us for a summer of fun! An experienced and responsible staff will lead campers on numerous exciting adventures. Campers will enjoy weekly “theme” events, field trips that include The Shakesphere Festival, Environmental Science Day, The Planetarium, Kayaking, The Nevada Musuem of Art, miniature golf, beaches around Lake Tahoe, Wild Waters water park and many more exciting adventures. Mixed in with the journeys are activities, which include arts & crafts, games, organized sports and contests, along with many special events. Time:       7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Fee:         $125 weekly Resident
                 $30 daily Resident/$40 trip day
                 $156.50 weekly Non-Resident
                 $37.50 daily Non-Resident/$50 trip day
 Location: K-2 Elementary School- Room 24

Each Tuesday campers will take a field trip!

Week 1 Theme- Exploration Week  6/19- Timber Cove Kyayaking and a movie at Heavenly Theaters

Week 2 Theme-Camp Warriors Week  6/25- South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center for Fear Factor & Ice Skating at the SLT Ice Rink

Week 3 Theme-Stars & Stripes  7/2- Walk in the Parade & Ice Cream Social
7/3- Walk/run in the Kid’s ICAN Run, Rubber Ducky Race, and chili and Apple Pie Cook Off
 
Week 4 Theme-Travel through time  7/10- National Auto Museum and Harrah’s Auto Collection, and the Roller Kingdom

Week 5 Theme-Tropical Getaway  7/17- Wild Island

Week 6 Theme-Royality and Leadership  7/24- Sand Harbor to see Shakesphere (D.G. Menchetti Young Shakesphere Program).

Week 7 Theme-Space Exploration  7/31- Jump man Jump and the Planetarium in Reno

Week 8 Theme-Nature Week  8/6- Sand Harbor to participate in Environmental Science Day

Week 9 Theme-”You Pick It” 8/14- Wild Island

Each Thursdays campers will be having fun in the sun at Burnt Cedar

XTREME Teen Trips

Ages: 11 - 16 (6th through 9th grade)

Are you looking for supervised recreation for your teen? Take this opportunity to let them learn self-confidence and responsibility! XTREME TEENS is back! We have found some really fun, full day trips for the teens in Tahoe. All trips are supervised by a well trained staff. Give your teen the opportunity to make new friends from around the lake! Trip days and location are subject to change. For additional information and prices, please contact the Recreation Center at (775) 832-1310. Scholarships are avaialble.
