Parks & Recreation Department Counter

Located inside the Recreation Center at 980 Incline Way, the Parks & Recreation Department Counter issues IVGID Recreation Photo IDs and Recreation Punch Cards, arranges group picnic area rentals at the beaches and parks, sells boat, jet ski and kayak launch passes for Ski Beach, coordinates kayak/canoe storage space (seasonal and year-round) and registers participants for recreation, fitness, aquatics, camps and sports programs.

The Parks & Recreation Clerks are also available to answer questions about recreation opportunities and policies. Please call 775-832-1310 for more information on all Parks & Recreation Counter operations.

If you are unsatisfied with a program or have extenuating circumstances that are keeping you from attending the program, please call us at (775) 832-1310 and the program supervisor will be happy to assist with a refund or credit within thirty days from the first class or program meeting.

Class & Program Registration

Registration is easy, so don't wait! Register online now, visit the Parks & Recreation Department Counter or you may phone in your registration by charging the fee to your Visa, American Express or Master Card. Please note that you must fill out all applicable waivers, releases and program registration forms for each program or class participant prior to registration. You may call to have these forms faxed to you or you can get them here and return via fax at (775) 832-1380. Classes will be cancelled if there is not sufficient pre-registration.

Group Rentals

Incline and Burnt Cedar beaches have several Group Picnic areas available to IVGID beach access passholders to reserve for spring or summer events. No longer do you need to arrive hours before your event to secure a spot for your group. The designated beach sites include barbeque grills and tables offering you and your friends an area to picnic and enjoy the beach. Two sites are available at Burnt Cedar and two at Incline Beach. These sites can only be reserved with a valid beach access Recreation Photo ID. Each guest is still responsible for beach access fees. There is also one site available at Preston Park which is perfect for a family gathering or your child’s birthday party and can be reserved by both Residents and Non-Residents.
