SPECIAL PROGRAMS!

WinterSportsConditioningWinter Sports Conditioning

This class will focus on sports specific strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, agility and coordination. Each class will include a warm-up, group drills, stretch, 10-station circuit, sports specific tips and informational handouts. The program will begin and end with “Ski or Boarding Fit” assessment. Sunday classes are family friendly. Children 8 years or older can attend.

H20 Extreme Fitness

Join us onTuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to6:30 pm for an hour of intense pool & deck fitness training. This high energy, vigorous cardiovascular & strength conditioning class brings a whole “new meaning” to “water exercise”! The class content includes aqua warm-up, water jogging/sprinting, swimming,
resistance bands, deep water running, circuit training in and out of the water nd other drills including: pull-ups, tot doc jumps, kick boxing, hydro cuff,
buoy workout, resistance swim, fins,10-lb brick, kickboards & more! Click here for the schedule.

Zumba

This workout fuses Latin & African rhythms with easy to follow dance moves creating a one of a kind fitness program. Expect to burn about 500 calories while having fun! Click here for the schedule.

Surf n’ Turf Boot Camp

This four week camp is a moderate to high intensity combo fitness program. Your instructor will cater to several fitness levels and progress accordingly. It will include intervals and elements of jogging, running, sprinting, plyometrics, agility work, strength training, core training and stretching on the beach, grass, deck and in the pool. You will get dirty and wet…be prepared and wear layers of clothing including a swimsuit under your workout clothes. Get the flyer!

TRX Suspension Personal Training

TRX Suspension Training builds total body strength, balance, flexibility and core stability for people of all fitness levels. It was designed by a Navy SEAL as a “go-anywhere workout.” This set of nylon straps creates resistance from two sources always at your disposal: body weight and gravity. TRX training will develop a leaner more athletic body, improve your balance & flexibility and reduce over-use injuries. Whether you’re running your first 10K, competing in an IRONMAN, training to improve your golf performance or competing in team sport, TRX is proven to increase sports performance. Personal 45 minute session:    $45
Semi-personal (2 people) 45 minute session:    $75

55+ Fitness & Yoga Classes

Fitness classes for the community & members ages 55+
These 50 minute classes held three times per week are designed specifically to increase muscle strength, enhance range of motion, realign and define body shape, improve posture, increase blood circulation, improve flexibility & balance or to specifically instruct yoga movements and positions. See Fitness Schedule on page 9 for details.

Cardiovascular Room

We offer a variety of cardiovascular equipment including elliptical cross trainers, treadmills, climbers, a rower, bicycles (recumbent, spin and upright), a Versaclimber and an Ergometer. Some equipment have personal televisions and the rest are connected to the group cardio theater system, Broadcast Vision
Strength Area ~ Includes 14 individual Cybex Eagle Strength circuit machines, a LifeFitness dual pulley system, Cybex Modular Strength System with six strength stations, Hampton dumbbells up to 100 pounds, 4 adjustable flat bench workout stations and a plethora of small equipment for resistance, balance, core flexibility and agility.

Group Fitness Classes

More than 30 group fitness classes, 8 Cardio Cycling classes and 12 Aqua Fitness classes are offered at no charge to Rec Center members.. Check out the Group Fitness Class schedule for details!

Indoor 25 Yard Pool

Our beautiful 8 lane indoor pool offers a variety of Aqua Fitness classes with 2 lanes for lap swimming available during all pool hours (except during special events). Check out the schedule.

Personal Training

Create lifelong healthy habits and improve your overall well-being. Personal training is provided by certified, trained professionals who will evaluate your individual fitness needs, design a plan of action and motivate you to reach your fitness goals. Your personal program will include an individualized format and instruction, continuous program progression (if desired), strength and cardiovascular endurance exercises, pre and post-operative conditioning and proper stretching to improve flexibility.
 
A personal program can teach you correct form, help with recovery from injury or illness, train for a specific sport or just get you acquainted and comfortable in the fitness room. Our trainers come from diverse backgrounds and bring with them a unique set of specialties and skills. They are certified by a nationally recognized organization and hold current CPR and first aid certifications. Please call (775) 832-1350 to make an appointment or obtain more information.
 

Fitness Attendant Schedule

The fitness staff is available to answer simple strength and cardio equipment related questions at no charge.
Days/Hours: Monday - Saturday  9:00 am - 11:00 am
                        Monday - Friday  3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

New Member Orientation

If you are a new member to the Incline Village Recreation Center you may sign up for a complimentary “get acquainted” with the Incline Village Recreation Center orientation. New members will receive a facility tour, an instructional overview of the fitness/weight room and some helpful program and class information.
